Hi. I was looking for moving companies rating and found few sites online. Does your website offer that service also? I didn’t find any on your site. I read through your blog and thought this can help narrow my choices if I read some personal reviews. Danielle L.

Unfortunately we don’t offer that service. There are several reasons for that. First, moving companies’ ratings is very subjective and this website only provides general information and tools, not opinions. Another main reason to not include a section of movers’ ratings is that it is almost impossible to monitor the submissions and to confirm that they are valid, i.e. that were made by real people about their actual experience and not submitted by company representatives. This might sometimes be done by a company to either receive high scores for itself (when providing great reviews with high scores) or to discredit the competitors (by writing bad reviews and giving low scores). Most reviews do not provide enough information that can enable one to confirm its legitimacy (such as full name and address, contact numbers, date and details of move or contract number). It is always better to get first hand references and recommendations.
To make a good choice of movers, please browse through our Tips pages for moving resources, information and advice. If you are still looking for ratings, you will have to judge for yourself if to trust what you find online. When you do choose your mover, ask for references and contact numbers. Call few of the customers so you can hear first hand about their experience and get an idea about the company’s performance.
